BACK

ON THE EDGE

   And i said:

   "You shall call Me, 'My Father', and not turn away from Me" (Jer. 3:19)

   Though it might be easy to skip over

this verse and just keep going, God wants

to be your Father. What does that really

mean?You are His child. Just think about

that for a moment. You are a child of

God! The one who created the heavens and

earth, and every living, breathing thing,

is your Dad!

    Your natural father may not be a good

role model; in fact, many people

don't even know who their natural father

is. Whatever the case, God wants to fil

that empty spot. He has promised not to

turn away from anyone fatherless!

Remember, your earthly parents parents

aren't perfect. They may let you down,

but God never will. He's never going to

hurt you. He's never going to break a

promise. He's never going to be a bad

example. God wil never leave you or turn

His back on you. In other words,

He's with you for the long haul, al the

way to the end. What a great Dad!
